The tower was erected on the occasion of a business exhibition, Nordjysk Exhibition, in 1933. The tower was to be demolished immediately after the exhibition, but when it cost 40,000 kroner to tear it down again, The Brotherly Shooting Company bought the tower for only 5,000 kroner and has since driven the tower as a business.
The Aalborg Tower – more than a view From the top there are views of the entire city in all directions and on a clear day it is possible to look all the way to Hals Barre lighthouse – while enjoying something to eat or drink from the bistro. The circular building construction provides a fantastic 360-degree panoramic view showing Aalborg city, not to say the whole of North Jutland, from an angle you have not seen before and with a view that cannot be compared.
